Konosuke Murata is a unique artist who is influenced by Chinese Yuan and Ming paintings and paints on ceramics based on the Nanga painting that emerged in the late Edo period in Japan.

The way he draws landscapes, flowers and birds with soft brush strokes is like a world of ink painting. The technique of painting not only the outside but also the inside of the vessel is truly craftsmanship.
