[Holding at all Seikado stores] Special feature on the universe “Tenmoku” in the palm of your hand

Thank you for your continued patronage of Seikado.

In October, Seikado will simultaneously hold a special feature on works using Tenmoku glaze at its three stores: Ginza main store, Shinagawa Prince Hotel store, and The Okura Tokyo store.

Speaking of Tenmoku vessels, the national treasure Yohen Tenmoku tea bowl is famous, but various artists are currently creating unique Tenmoku patterns using their ingenuity, and it is said to resemble a ``cosmos in the palm of your hand.''

Throughout October, all Seikado stores will feature a special feature on Toshihiko Izutsu, who uses a unique technique called "Etenmoku," as well as Yoshiaki Tsuchibuchi, who is popular for recreating Yohen Tenmoku, and Koji Kamata, who is famous around the world. , Kyo-yaki masters such as Motokan Hayakawa, Yoshimasa Kimura, Ryoho Izumi, Daisuke Hashimoto, Nagataka Tanaka, who are known for their method of applying multiple layers of glaze and firing many times, and Aizu Hongo-yaki. We welcome you with a wide variety of works such as Munakata kiln.

Why not visit Seikado this fall to enjoy the beauty and fun of Tenmoku, each one of which is a one-of-a-kind item with no two patterns exactly the same?

*Due to product characteristics, some items may be difficult to add once they are sold out. Thank you for your understanding in advance. Please contact each store for stock status.
